About Ravestyles
Ravestyle Productions was originally founded back in early 2003. The main aim of the site was to provide a place where a group of friends could keep in touch with what is happening in the NZ electronica scene, post images from various trance/hardhouse style gigs and have discussion. Also hosted by the site were an array of original mp3 mixes & productions.
Due to running out of time and not being able to keep up with maintaining the site, it was soon scrapped in late 2003. The site was then rebranded as Ravestyles NZ. While still part of Ravestyle Productions Inc, Ravestyles NZ was heavily involved in the p2p & networking scene within New Zealand from 2003 – 2007. Ravestyles NZ quickly partnered with Direct Connect NZ (DCNZ) also co-owned by the founder of Ravestyles, to bring a form of sense & sensibility to the dc++ scene of New Zealand. As time evolved so did Ravestyles & DCNZ – slowly shifting into the BitTorrent Scene as a large contributor towards the p2p scene in NZ. The partnership of Ravestyles NZ & DCNZ quickly gave way to a new competitor – assisting them with creating what is now the largest BitTorrent/P2P scene in New Zealand today.
With this, while Ravestyles is still involved in the p2p scene – the core site and company still owned by Jarrod is now returning to its roots. To be utilised by a small group of friends, blogging their misadventures through New Zealand and the rest of the world. While the main focus will be on the electronica scene once again, this group are also heavily involved in the car scene and many other aspects. So keep your eyes peeled for interesting stories and images yet to come….
